1. Never act entitled to someone else’s kidney while they are still using it ala Sally Satel in the New York Times.
2. Be less judgmental
.
3. Exercise, stay on the cardboard/oops renal diet and don’t lose any more weight.
4. Eat meat to raise my hematocrit even when I don’t feel like it.
5. Don’t talk to the Washington Post unless Christ visits me personally and in the flesh, even then, call the Washington Times instead
.
6. Be less judgmental
7. Be nice to people older than myself unless they are fascists.
8. Be less judgmental
9. Develop a thicker skin for ignorance and intolerance.
1o. Be less judgmental

You think ama?
Nephrologists are an odd bunch Penny, only doctors I know who don’t want their patients to be skinny. I’m normal weight now, my neph. wants me to stay there. Okay, so he has statistics to back him up from my reading, the heavier one is the longer one lives on dialysis, but still, a doctor who tells you to gain a few pounds is almost un-American
.
Hey TMA, you think I should be more judgmental? I could try that….LOL

Actually, thememoryartist, I really like 2,6,8,10. It seems to fly in the face of pragmatism, but…there’s something fundamentally right about it.

I’ll take care of thememoryartist Tim. Fundamentally right? Funny.
