“Cypress Creek Hospital in Houston regained its Medicare certification in 2007 after losing it, according to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, but no details were available.
The psychiatric hospital with about 87 beds is owned by Psychiatric Solutions Inc., a large chain, which declined comment.”
It takes an awful lot to lose Medicare certification, CMS starts out with warnings and chances for correction. To actually lose CMS certification means a facility broke many, many regulations and/or put patients at risk more than once.
